The group standards for natural gas liquefaction plants mainly include the "Guidelines for Safety Inspection of Natural Gas Liquefaction Plants". This standard is organized and compiled by the Shaanxi Liquefied Natural Gas Industry Association. It aims to fill the gaps in the safety inspection standards of natural gas liquefaction plants, guide safety inspections to regulate their behavior in accordance with the standards, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the liquefied natural gas industry.
Background and purpose of compilation
In 2023, the Shaanxi Liquefied Natural Gas Industry Association visited nearly 70 natural gas liquefaction plants in and outside the province and found that due to the lack of safety standards, there were different inspection standards, making it difficult for liquefaction plants to cope with safety inspections. To this end, the association conducted special research and discussions with relevant units such as design, standards, testing, emergency rescue, and liquefaction plants, clarified the compilation direction of the group standards, and started the compilation of the "Guidelines for Safety Inspection of Natural Gas Liquefaction Plants".
Compilation process and main contents
The compilation process of group standards includes proposals, project establishment, drafting, soliciting opinions, technical review, approval, numbering, publication and review. The specific time schedule is as follows:
Proposal stage: Before February 29, 2024, the association will solicit proposals for group standard projects.
Project establishment stage: Before March 15, 2024, the association will conduct project establishment review and organize experts to evaluate proposals.
Drafting stage: From March 15, 2024 to July 31, 2024, the editor-in-chief and participating unit experts will conduct investigation and analysis, test verification, and draft relevant standards.
Compilation unit and participation method
The participating units can become editor-in-chief or participating units by submitting a proposal application form to the Shaanxi Liquefied Natural Gas Industry Association. After passing the project establishment review, the relevant units will arrange and organize personnel to carry out work and participate in the standard compilation.
